Winter Weather Advisory Statement
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Ocean County for a wintry mix of precipitation late tonight that might cause icy road conditions for a brief period of time during the overnight hours.
Another storm system will impact the Ocean County area and while it will start as snow and sleet, it will quickly change over to all rain. According to current forecast, a wintry mix of precipitation consisting of snow, sleet and rain will start between 9:00pm and midnight. Possible coating of snow and sleet before it changes over to all rain by 3:00am. It will continue to rain until lunch time on Wednesday. Daytime high temperatures on Wednesday should be in the low 40’s.
It is anticipated that the Wednesday morning commute will NOT be hazardous as roads will mainly be wet. However, if your travels take you west towards the Philadelphia region or north into the North Jersey/New York area, expect difficult travel conditions as roads in those areas will be icy and hazardous.
Again, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Ocean County area. A wintry mix of precipitation will occur late tonight, making the roads slippery for a brief period of time. However, the wintry mix should quickly change over to all rain and it is anticipated that roads will be just wet for the Wednesday morning commute. Exercise extreme caution if traveling north or west of the Ocean County area tonight or Wednesday morning.
